RED SUCKER!!!

We had a very boring day today. Elijah has had the flu since Wednesday, and this morning it was really bad. We ended up taking him to the Emergency room. He got an IV, and a LOT of attention. We were there for about 10 hours, the whole time Elijah kept asking us if he could have a RED SUCKER. We searched high and low and could not find one. We explained to him that we would get him one, at the store, after we got out of the hospital. When they discharged us, he was still asking for a RED SUCKER, so off to the store I went. As I was driving, I was wondering why he would be so fixated on a RED SUCKER, when it hit me. He wanted a RED SUCKER like Meredith had on The Office, when she was in the hospital, because Micheal hit her with his car. I think we should organize a 5K race to ensure that all hospitals have RED SUCKERS!!! If you don't watch The Office, then you won't think this is funny, and we feel sorry for you!

Merry Christmas from the Brill Family!

Christmas Fun!!

The kids go to a year round school, so they have the whole month of December off. Grandma Jackie sent some money to buy these great Gingerbread Houses and Trains. We make these every year. The kids eat them for weeks. They are so creative. We always have one that collapses, one that's perfect and everything in between. They had a blast. It also keeps them busy (for a while). We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas season.

TALLER???????

It is official. I had Scott measure Joseph and I, to see who was taller. I was thinking he was the same height as I am. (5'8") Much to my shock, he has me by an inch. How many 11 year olds are 5'9"? This is a frightening thought. He is going to eat more, sleep more, Grow more and did I say eat MORE? Who can afford to take care of a GIANT! I think this is all Grandpa Lou's fault!
Joseph is such a good, kind, young man. He makes me so proud. He is a friend to everyone. I just can't believe he is growing up so fast.

Never hold a Kitty!!!!

This is the newest member of the Brill family. His name is Desmond. We are hoping that Phineas and Malachi will like him. My Mom and I went for a drive and ran into ,Keri, a friend of ours. We stopped to visit, and saw this really cute kitten. She was trying to find a home for three of them. He was soooooooo cute. My Mom was going to keep him, but we got to attached, and in a moment of weakness, Scott caved. So he is ours.

Elijah's Birthday!!

Can we believe that our baby is 5 years old? He had a great day. He got to take cupcakes to his school class. We went to Red Robin for his birthday dinner. He got a transformer cake, Heely's and cars. What more could a 5 year old boy want? He is such a fun, good boy. Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Holidays!

We decided, at the spur of the moment, to go to Utah for Thanksgiving. We went the Denver, CO, way to avoid the traffic and we hit a snowstorm. It should have taken us 11 hours. It took us 15 hours instead. It was a trip to remember. We ate Thanksgiving dinner at Kym's house, and went to all the new movies. Movies are so cheap in Brigham City! We helped Grandma decorate for Christmas, rode over to Logan to walk around Utah State University. We had a really nice and relaxing time. Thanks Grandma Sherie for the great hospitality. We wish you all a very Happy Holidays!

Christmas Pictures!!

Christmas Pictures!!

I can't believe that Christmas is just around the corner. I thought that I would get ahead and take some pictures of my kiddos. I don't know what everyone elses houses are like at picture time, but ours is NOT a pleasant place to be. I can't believe that we survived. I can't believe they are smiling!! It could have been the several threats to their lives. Whatever it was, we are just really glad that it's over.

Broken Foot??

We thought it was broken, but after 2 sets of x-rays and 6 hours in the Doctor's office, we learned that it is only SPRAINED. I don't think Alivia will let the neighbor girl play "cheerleader" with her anymore. Liv has found out the hard way that Crutches are not fun, especially at school, and they "Hurt your armpits really bad!"

"Trunk or Treat"

We had the "Trunk or Treat" Friday night at our church. Joseph was in the middle of the Flu, so he didn't dress up and join us. We were all Vampires, except Elijah wanted to be a Power Ranger. We had a really good time. They had a live band and lots of food, and of course, TOO MUCH CANDY. I think we'll have it for a long time. I just found last year's Halloween candy, in my cupboard, about a week ago. Can't wait to go tomorrow!! Happy Halloween!!!

LUCKY US!!

We officially have the flu. We are so excited. Scott started it off, then I got it Monday night. Tuesday night Elijah was the lucky one to start. I wonder who's next. It's like waiting for a bomb to go off. I won't take pictures to gross you all out, so I thought that I would put up some awesome pictures of scenery from our Utah trip. It was gorgeous! Wish us luck this week, we are going to need it. Where's the LYSOL!!!

Q-TIPS

Q-tips are used for many things at our house. The parents use them for cleaning ears and nostrils. The dogs eat them. The kids use them for costumes. I think that some times they just get bored. Here is Elijah trying to postpone bedtime last night.

Chaplain Conference

We just got home yesterday from Utah. Scott and I had a Chaplain's Conference in Salt Lake City. We had to leave the triplets here in Albuquerque, because of school, so we took Alivia and Elijah with us. They spent the week with Grandma Sherie. They had a blast!! Elijah said some pretty funny things that Grandma labeled as "Elijahisms" Here is one. "Grandma, did you know that Heavenly Father doesn't care if you FART when you pray? I do it ALL the time." Needless to say, that between Elijah and Alivia, Grandma had a very entertaining week. WE LOVE YOU GRANDMA SHERIE!!!

The ride, to and from, was very long. On the way there, we stopped at a great place called "HOLE N THE ROCK" It's a family favorite. On the way home we climbed up to an arch outside of Moab. You can't see us in the picture, but we are there. The kids did great.

The meetings we went to were very inspiring, and it was fun to see friends we email all year and just see at conference, because they are all over the world.

We became friends with a gentelman named George, He is the very first LDS Chaplain from a foreign county. He is from the French Foreign Legion. He is such a great person. Talk about history in the making.

Over all it was a very good trip. I missed the kids at home, but they are all still alive and still doing well in Middle School, which was the whole purpose for them not going. Maybe next year they will be able to go.

New Jersey

Here are a few pictures of Scott in New Jersey. He HAD to travel there to visit some of his soldiers that were in Med Hold. While he was there he took a little side trip to check out the beach and also Atlantic City. He had a great time. Talk about a rough job.

Elijah's First Day of School!!

Elijah went to his first day of school. He is in a Pre-Kindergarten program. Elijah was so funny this morning. He woke up and was very hyper! He wanted Ramen Noodles for breakfast and was ready to go. On the way to school he said to me, "Mom, I am so excited, but I am also nervous, a little!" That's the way it should be, I think. I walked him into class and he waved at me and said, "Bye, Mom!" The boy has no fear. I cried all the way to work. I called to check on him during the day, and he was absolutely doing wonderful! I 've decided that he did better on his first day than I did. I can't believe he is my baby. He is growing up so fast. His teachers' said he was a very good boy. We already know that!!!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!

I can't believe that school has started already. I am happy, but a little sad also. Allie, Joe, and Sam started at School on Tuesday of this week. They came home with a lot to talk about. We had a great time listening to their experiences. Some were really funny and others were kind of sad. I can't believe how fast they are growing up. We couldn't have asked for greater kids. They are so strong.... Alivia started 3rd grade Wednesday. Her new teacher is at home with a bad foot for 2 weeks, so she has a substitute that is just a little cranky. We are hoping that her REAL teacher is nice. Alivia is in the same class as 3 of her friends, so she is pretty happy about that. She is so much fun. She just makes you happy. She is a bundle of joy and energy. Elijah starts school this Monday. He is in a pre-k program. He is going to go 4 days a week. He is so excited. He asks me everyday if it is Monday yet. He has definetely got the bike riding down. Elijah and I went on a bike ride this morning and he never gets tired. We were riding straight, for an hour and a half, all over the bike trails. It was a blast.
